You can now send me letters straight to my community! Mail still takes about 2 to 3 weeks to be delivered, but I now only have to walk a few blocks down the road. Also the cute boy that works at the post office in town always texts me when I have letters or packages to pick up. So its a double win! I welcome letters and packages all the time. It costs a little less to send packages in large manila envelopes, but if you use an international flat rate box from the usps you can cram in some extra goodies for no extra cost.

Fun Facts & Happenings in Paraguay

- Roosters crow at any time of day or night here and they especially enjoy doing it outside your room
-I sometimes shower with large frogs at my feet in my outdoor shower
-My host dad´s cell phone is the same Nokia brick cell phone I used for 4 years and he uses the same ringtone and background picture I used. I sometimes instinctively try to grab for the phone to answer when it rings
- If you step on the tail of a cat, it is said here that you are then going to get married this year. So far I have done a good job of avoiding the cats in my house.
-When you loose a tooth in Paraugay, instead of putting it under your pillow, you throw it on the roof of the house in the hope that a better tooth will grow back in its place
